Technical Support for MediCap USB100 & USB150

Two Important Support Notes
Please read before proceeding

Important Note #1: Do Not Remove Flash Drive While Light is Blinking
When you capture images using the MediCap USB100 or USB150, the images are captured to internal memory within the box, NOT the USB flash drive. After you are finished capturing images, press the green "Save To USB Memory" button. This transfers the images from internal memory to the flash drive. During the transfer process, the green light under the "Save" button will blink. Do NOT unplug the flash drive until the green light stops blinking, indicating that the transfer process is complete.

If you remove the flash drive before the transfer is complete, the contents of the drive may become corrupted and you will then need to clean it up. Click here for a description of how to clean up the flash drive. You can tell that the flash drive needs to be cleaned up if error messages are displayed on your monitor when you try to use the drive (for example, "file is corrupted" or "cannot remove folder").

Important Note #2: Use the Wizard to Move Images To Your Computer
When you transfer images from your USB100 or USB150 flash drive to your computer, you MUST use the MediCapture Image Transfer Wizard (do not drag and drop the images). This is because the images on the flash drive are in a "raw" format (.YUV) that cannot be used by your computer. The wizard not only transfers the images, it also converts them to a format that can be used by your computer. To install the wizard, insert the flash drive in your computer, browse to the flash drive, and click on SETUP.EXE. After the wizard is installed, use it whenever you want to transfer images from your flash drive to your computer (click on the MediCapture Image Wizard icon on your desktop).
